Jicinta Elliott - Registered Counsellor

Professional Counsellor - Women's Counselling in Caboolture

Hi, I’m Jicinta Elliott, a clinical counsellor with over 15 years of experience and an Australian Counselling Association College of Supervisors - Supervisor.

My professional journey began in the drug and alcohol field working for DrugArm, supporting individuals struggling with addiction and their families. From there, I worked with at-risk families through both community and government organisations (Dept of Families), and I’ve provided guidance through helplines like Kids Helpline and Parentline.

My career then took me to Queensland Health, where I worked in a health coaching role before transitioning to my first private practice My Anxiety in the Moreton Bay region. Over the years, I’ve embraced online counselling, contracting with platforms like BetterHelp, and I’ve had the privilege of supporting corporate mental health initiatives through Converge International. This has included working with leaders in diverse settings such as government organisations, RACMA, Corrections, Fire and National Parks, airlines, retail, and universities, helping them manage their mental health and that of their teams.

Currently, I offer my services through my businesses, Counselling For Her and the Caboolture Wellness Centre. I started these practices to provide the community with a quality inner-city health and wellness experience no matter where they live.

In my practice, you will find my approach to be friendly, ethical, professional, personalised, practical, evidence-based, goal and outcome-focused. I take a holistic approach drawing on my knowledge of physiology, psychology, neurology, trauma, social work, behavioural science, and occupational therapy supporting the whole person.

My academic background includes studies in leadership through the Griffith School of Medicine, Social Work and Human Services at the University of Queensland, and Counselling through the Australian Institute of Professional Counsellors. I’m recognised as a Level 4 counsellor by the Australian Counselling Association, having accumulated well over 3,000 hours of client experience – the highest registered level for counsellors in Australia. In addition to my wellbeing work, I’m a third-year occupational therapy student at the University of the Sunshine Coast.

I enjoy supporting other counsellors in maintaining their registration as a member of the Australian Counselling Association College of Supervisors and enhancing their clinical practice. I'm delighted and enthusiastic about collaborating with other health professionals, fostering connections that enhance support and care for women’s well-being.

I’m passionate about helping people live their best lives and achieve their full potential. I bring a wealth of experience and training to my work with clients and professionals alike and invite you to connect with me.

Sincere regards,

Jicinta.
